This Cookie Policy explains how Astravow uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies.

What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small files stored on your device. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, and scripts that store or access information on your device.

How Astravow uses cookies/storage

Essential functionality — authentication, security, session management, preventing fraud or abuse, and remembering necessary app state.

User preferences — sound on/off preference, interface preferences, and local device settings.

Product functionality — temporary galaxy UI state and non-account demo state, kept clearly separate from real account ownership.

Analytics and marketing — at launch, Astravow does not use non-essential analytics or marketing cookies. If analytics, pixels, advertising tags, or heatmaps are added later, we will ask for consent where required.

Current cookie/storage use

Astravow currently uses:

  • authentication/session storage (from the auth provider)
  • local storage for the cosmic sound preference (astravow_sound_enabled)
  • local storage for local UI and device-local demo galaxy state (astravow.claims.v1)
  • security/session-related storage from hosting/auth providers

    • Real Astravow account ownership is stored in the database, not local storage. We do not currently use any analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies.

    Essential cookies

    Some cookies/storage are required for Astravow to work. These cannot be switched off through Astravow because they are needed for login, security, or core functionality.

    Optional cookies

    If optional analytics or marketing cookies are added, you will be given a choice before they are used, where required by law.

    Managing cookies

    You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop Astravow from working correctly.

    Changes

    We may update this Cookie Policy when our technology or providers change.
